So, for the past several days I have been maniacally checking my email hoping to have received an "offer of accommodation" from the University of Ulster (i.e. a picture of a cutesy Irish flat for me to live in) and today, I had mail! And as luck would have it, I got my first choice for housing. Hooray! So in exactly five weeks from this Monday, I will be taking off my boots (literally) here...
And, it is hard to tell in this picture BUT the doors are all different colors. So cute! I'll be living in Agherton Student Village, Portstewart. According to google and Wikipedia, Portstewart is somewhat of a seaside resort community, and is even closer to the cold North Atlantic coast than Coleraine! While I am incredibly worried about the cold, I still cannot believe that I am going to be living HERE for 5 months! How picturesque is this?

Well, here it is! My first post. I've been waiting to "kick off" my blog officially until I (my dad) had purchased my plane ticket. After some complications, and a friendly call to Delta customer service in New Delhi, my plane tickets were finally purchased! So on January 19, 2009 I'll be flying into London-Heathrow International Airport and then I'll take a "pond-jumper" flight to Belfast, Northern Ireland (see above map). It still seems so unreal that all this is happening. In less than two months (or 48 days, but who's counting?) I'll be making myself at home not only at new school but also in a new country. Crazy!
